Contact Us for Kenosha Records

Kenosha County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a public office. It cannot confirm a person’s custody or release, post bond, release anyone, or obtain an official booking record. Direct those needs to the appropriate government office below.

Kenosha County Record Routing

Choose the office based on the record and the custody question. For a detention booking record or photograph, identify the person, the approximate booking date, the arresting agency if known, and the exact record requested. Ask the custodian to identify any fee before processing. Wisconsin’s public-records rule, Wis. Stat. §19.35, requires a response as soon as practicable and without delay, but the sources reviewed do not state a universal county fee or delivery deadline.

Digital Media and Evidence/ID

The Kenosha Joint Services digital-media request form includes a photographs option. KJS is the custodian of its own records, while KCSO and the Kenosha Police Department remain custodians of their records held by KJS. State the agency and type of media so the request can be routed correctly.

Kenosha Joint Services, Evidence/ID Department

Evidence/ID: 262-605-5042

These channels do different jobs. A detention booking image is generally a Sheriff/detention record; incident media or a photograph held by Evidence/ID may use the KJS form. Do not assume that a shared-services location owns every record kept there.

  • For current county detention, use the official Kenosha County inmate search before calling a facility.
  • For a booking photograph or associated public booking record, use Joint Records or the Sheriff route and ask which office is the legal custodian.
  • For a Kenosha Police Department incident record or media request, name KPD and the incident details on the KJS digital-media form.
  • For a later court filing, charge outcome, or disposition, use Wisconsin Circuit Court Access or the Kenosha Clerk of Courts.
  • For a person sentenced to state custody or on state supervision, use the Wisconsin DOC offender search, not the county detention roster.
  • For federal or immigration custody, use the official BOP locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator; neither is a county booking source.
